The International Conference on Smart Mobility and Logistics in Future Cities

On behalf of the University of Hong Kong, I would like to offer a very warm welcome to all the participants of the International Conference on Smart Mobility and Logistics in Future Cities, which brings together leading international and local academics, professional experts, and policy-makers from the transport and logistics sectors.

I am pleased to see HKU’s Institute of Transport Studies co-organising this event, and we are grateful to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) and the Transport Department (TD) of the Hong Kong SAR Government for their support.

The conference provides an opportunity for participants to share ideas and experience with their international peers, advance their knowledge in their respective areas of expertise, and build partnerships for developing, implementing and enhancing smart mobility and logistics in future cities.

As this conference also marks the 50th Anniversary of both the CILTHK and the TD, and the 20th Anniversary of the Master of Arts in Transport Policy and Planning programme at HKU, may I offer my warmest congratulations to all on this happy and historic occasion.
